Human parainfluenza virus 4a strain M-25 is propagated in Vero.STAT1 KO cells (ATCC CCL-81-VHG). This viral strain was isolated originally from the throat swab of a patient with a mild upper respiratory tract illness and was derived by cell culture adaptation of ATCC VR-1378 in Vero.STAT1 KO (ATCC CCL-81-VHG).
