特征特性：G+，菌体长杆、短杆，不规则形状，不运动。液体培养混浊。液化明胶，无色素。发酵葡萄糖、乳糖和淀粉，不发酵蔗糖和山梨醇。接触酶阳性，发酵乳酸和丙酸。厌氧。牛奶反应还原。最适生长温度30℃。利用硝酸盐。
具体用途：产维生素B12。以葡萄糖为原料生产丙酸。
